Your Job as a Group Facilitator
The outpatient group facilitator has day-to-day responsibility for individual and group sessions, and maintaining clear, concise and accurate documentation in line with the Georgia Board of professional counselors, JCAHO, and Samba Recovery standards. The group facilitator is responsible for maintaining the quality of services our clients need to successfully treat their substance use disorder. The group facilitator is responsible for maintaining their licensure, continuation of training and education, care, empathy and treatment of clients, and providing the highest standard of customer service to staff and clients.
Your Responsibilities as a Group Facilitator
Provide timely, accurate and concise documentation in the EHR system.
Asking questions and listening to help Clients explore their thoughts and feelings.
Leading Clients through mental exercises and role-playing activities when beneficial.
Counseling and advising Clients on issues of importance to them.
Intervening with emergency care techniques and protocols when Clients are in crisis.
Providing referrals for additional care or services when required.
Maintaining detailed confidential records.
Participating in weekly clinical staff meetings to review treatment plans
Responsible for the delivery of treatment services and submitting protocols, protocol amendments, and reports to the State and or Federal Departments as required and in full agreement with corporate and regional leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Your Skills And Qualifications As A Group Facilitator
Preferred CAC or CADC
Experience working in services in an outpatient environment; preferably in medication-assisted treatment, mental health or addiction providing individual and group therapy.
Familiar with evidence-based therapy modalities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must understand the standard state policies and procedures for an IOP/PHP
Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in their role with the ability to be coached and to coach with problem solving skills in a dynamic working and professional environment.
